Quicksand Interiors Album Review. That is exactly what alternative band Quicksand has proven to the world with their new album Interiors their first compilation of brand new recordings since 1995s sophomore disc Manic Compression which in turn followed a somewhat iconic debut album in the form of Slip. More than anything Interiors is something of a transitional album one that has Quicksand on the cusp of regaining their balance after such a long period of time away but not quite hitting it yet.
The combination of artists with such storied legacies and catalogues wouldnt have resulted in a disaster by any means but even though this is still pretty good something that offers a little more wouldnt be out. But Interiors is fresh and evolving. Yes Interiors may be QUICKSANDs big return but armed with a formula that derives from the 90s as well as the two decades in-between have created a record that embraces the present and is forward thinking to its core and proof that QUICKSAND should be welcomed back with scores of open arms.
